Whilst accepting the shells were too far gone, there were still some bits that could've been used to keep other identical ones to these for further use.

@@owenkelsey6279 Indeed! With the first car crushed (the Catalina) those doors still looked good. They could have easily removed those for another Catalina that year, which while still structurally good may have needed new doors. A missed chance.

The rear end alone could've been salvaged; apparently they're almost a direct swap into a 1976-89 F-M-J body

Good to see you again; I was starting to wonder. The period from (roughly) 1964-1978 saw the manufacture of some of the longest American cars of all time, and maybe it was the camera angle, but that Catalina and the Newport looked like they barely fit in there.

@@brentboswell1294 I have owned a lot of the longest, but most of them were junkyard cars I bought for demo derby. But one that I did drive for a couple years was a '76 Buick Electra - 3rd-longest American car - and a '72 Sedan DeVille. That was back when a poor man could still afford gasoline, though.

1st car: 1967 Full Sized Pontiac (not a 68 because no side marker lights and different rear bumper) 2nd car: 1965 Chryslers (Newport (probably) or 300) (not a New Yorker, they had a different roof) 3rd car: 1970-73 AMC Matador or Ambassador 4th Car: 1969 Mid sized Plymouth 5th Car: 4th gen (88-91) Honda Civic

I don't recall seeing a flap on the trunk lid of any 1967 Pontiac, ever...could someone have cut out the arrowhead on the trunk lid?
