I was impressed seeing a Tempo with that many parts removed!

Interesting crush. That black LeBaron was a pretty car when new, as was the Celebrity Eurosport. I really love cars of the '70's and early '80's. Wisconson must pave their roads with salt to result in SO much rust! Wouldn't sand make much more sense to use on icy roads?!

I really miss the vent windows on cars for people to flick a cigarette out the window.. As long as the back window isn't open it's fine.. After the Chrysler Lebaron I thought the truck was the Ford Tempo but I actually remembered a Ford Tempo was a smaller car.. and seeing other things crushed into the cars is nice too but watching these videos has become a favorite past time for me.. No talking.. no music.. just the sounds of machines and crunching metals and glass breaking.. it's a beautiful symphony

I don't miss vent windows. They were handy for airflow - which today's cars also don't have - but after you closed them they'd whistle for weeks. The truck cab is a Dodge, probably mid-80s to judge by the paint condition.

Car from 0:00 to 1:13 1978 Chrysler Lebaron 4dr sedan with Medalion trim package. I'm wondering if it was one of the infamous Chrysler sales Bank cars. In case somebody wondering what the Chrysler sales Bank was it was when Chrysler in order to keep the workers in the factory going made cars before the dealer is ordered them. It would sit in lots for months until they were forced upon dealers or dealers needed to add more to their inventory. This car was last registered in Wisconsin in January of 1999 so it lasted about 20 or 21 years on the road

@@LongIslandMopars thing is, none of these cars have much demand or collectibilty, so even if these sat there another 30 years, chances are there wouldn't be any more parts sold off of them. I am in 2 car clubs. You never see either car at a show or cruise in, even the big cars, usually about 1964 is the newest of Chevys, Fords, etc. at shows

@@dancline2143 I understand. It is just hard that I grew up with post-depression era parents. Nothing went to waste, spare parts were like gold, and you kept equipment running until it outlasted you or you outlasted it. Hence, I still have the one and only new car my dad ever bought and it still going.

0:06-0:08 last registration January of 1999. This car last to 21 years on the road. That's pretty good from a car from Wisconsin. Oh by the way this car was equipped with the Chrysler electronic lean-burn engine emission system(CELB).

That '92 Tempo looks almost like the '91 I used to own. The difference was the lower trim molding on the '91 was black and the '92 was body-colored...looks like a stray timing light was hanging from the door of the pickup cab you were crushing between the LeBaron and the Tempo. Looks like you rescued it? I chuckled when I saw the wheel cover fall off the Monarch as you shoehorned it into the crusher

1:38-2:07 the object on the left with the compressor look like either a room air conditioner that was torn apart or a small water fountain that is found in an elementary school. The item on the right look like a central AC unit that is found on the side of the house. It has one of them wrap around C coils the unit that was on the right. And I could identify the the object on the left because it is a refrigeration compressor found on refrigerators, window AC units, and water fountains. I've scrapped enough of these things that I see them in my sleep

Suprised that the LeBaron had leaf springs in the back...in 1978, only wagons and El Caminos had leaf spring suspensions 😂 Coil springs were the standard for sedans and coupes.

Chevy wagons and El Camino's had coils all the way around. Chrysler was the last to ditch leaf springs in 1989 on the M bodies.

El Caminos were coils. GM fullsize wagons stopped leaf springs in 76. Last GM car to use leafs off the top of my head would be the Nova/Omega/Ventura/Apollo/Seville platform up to 1979.
