Hey Gary, the bus episode was awesome 👍. Its hard to explain but , I live in Boston half the time and South Carolina. So when You post from Canada it's exciting to view and enjoy the scenery. Awesome father/daughter journey, those VW air cooled motors are not known of having much on torque power but easy to repair though. Those goggles were a blast, should have kept them on.

Those buses came with a ripping 36 HP 1200 cc motor, but I can bet that's been upgraded to a 1600 cc or better, from the birds eye shot over the swing axle. The suspension is torsion bars until the super beetles came out in 1971 and they got McPherson struts up front. I had a 1970 Bug when I was 19 aka poor mans Porsche. Good trip with your daughter to Vancouver.
