The thing on the speedometer is cruise control. I had a 1965 4 door With the 445 Wildcat engine which was actually 401 cubic inches. The cruise control was my favorite option. 6 way electric seats.

In 1965 the Electra either had a 401 or the optional 425 cid, not a 440. The torque was either 445 or 465. The horsepower rating was 325, 340 or 360 with 2 four barrels. Nice car.

The engine on mine was indeed 401 cubic inches. However it was called Wildcat 445. Mine had Wildcat 445 on the air filter cover.

KZbin's Stupid auto fix. I turned it off and it looks much better now.
