1965 Chevrolet Corvette Returns To Racetrack Where It Rolled Decades Earlier

It was rolled at the Lime Rock Park racetrack in Connecticut in the1970s. Years later, the 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray was acquired and restored by Mark Prause of Goshen, CT. He took back to Lime Rock in the fall of 2017 for RIDE-CT for some much slower laps on the track as seen in this story from the archives.

Such a waste of a car when it just sits. When it sits it dries up and leaks.😂

Spoke with the owner a few days ago to see if anything had changed before I posted this story from a few years ago. He said the car doesn't just endlessly sit, but it's such a nice example that he doesn't use it a lot out of concern of something happening to it. He has another "naked" Corvette that gets used often.
