Good idea not using the stock proportioning valve location. It would have been in the way of LS exhust headers anyway. Nice Content thanks for sharing.

My 68 GTO has a mounting bracket that uses the top diff cover bolt to hold all of that in place. Not sure if 65 used that, but that might be an option.

curious about the banjo bold being aligned. i have not heard of this before. have you checked with others? i think torque spec is 25 or 35 ft pounds so where ever the hole ends up should be where it ends up?

You may be right, this is what I found on the interwebs... "To install them properly, check the inside of the hole which accepts the bolt. You'll find a ring that goes around the bolt. This design makes it possible for fluid to get into the system regardless of where the hole is on the banjo bolt".
