Hi Kevin Great info. Many thanks. I have a 2900 and would like to change the needle But have misplaced my manual. I’m sure the needle is the original. Brian

Hi Kevin, the needle is a press fit. It essentially just pulls out and snaps back in. Suggest you get a magnifying glass to look at it closely and that should help you see how it comes out. If have issues or concerns though, let me know and I'll do a short video showing how the needle is removed and replaced. Also, if you need to purchase a new needle I find 'Needles4Jukes' to be a very good and reliable source of parts. www.needles4jukeboxes.com Also if you haven't already, please subscribe. I really appreciate it!

Great information. Are you familiar with the little drive belts in the back? How do you get those over the center wheel? Thank you

Hi @FlashbackHeartAttack, firstly thanks so much for watching the video and leaving a comment! Yes, I am familiar with how to change the belts but it is a bit hard to describe the process, so to help out a bit I made a video for you so you can see the process: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e56ceWV6i9ypp5I If you haven't already, I'd appreciate it if you could subscribe to the channel. Hope this 'how to' video helps you and if you have any other questions, just let me know. Cheers and Happy New Year!

As always great job bud, ever thought of making a silicone mold of it just in case for the future?

Hey @FuriousGriffin, thanks for the kind words! You can still buy parts of these machines, but that's a dang good idea Bill. If it ever breaks again I just might give that a shot!

@@MadTinkerman Wow, that's amazing that parts are still available! Cool lol

Takes a bit of searching and patience, but yeah parts can be obtained, second hand of course.

Hello Kevin, do you happen to know if disabling the coin mechanism is as simple as connecting 2 wires together ? A friend of mine has got a Wurlitzer Lyric (I think 1967) and I manage to get power to it, the lights light up, but inserting a coin does nothing, you can only reject the coin. I'd like to test if at least everything works by bypassing the coin mechanism.

Hi @BrainHurricanes, firstly thanks so much for watching the video! I am frankly not familiar with how to put the Lyric on free play. If you don't already, it's probably a good idea to source a manual, but in the interim, there is a lot of good forums that can often assist and provide info. Here's a link to one of those forums where they explain how to put various Wurlitzer models on free play: jukeboxaddicts.proboards.com/thread/546/howto-wurlitzer-2000-3300-free. Separately, my experience with these machines is that most problems are solved by cleaning all of the leaf switches. There is a product called 'Deoxit' that is amazing and the best contact cleaner I have found. Careful gentle cleaning of the switches with 'Deoxit' and then spraying all of the leaf switches with it can often solve a lot of problems. Let it thoroughly dry for few hours before powering the machine back on. Wurlitzers are great machines. Hopefully this helps. If you haven't already, please subscribe. Really appreciate it!
