Even though this isn't technically a Roadkill episode it is one of my favorites. Taking a car that was rotting in Pewe's back yard for 30 years and driving it 500 miles home is awesome. What happened to the Buick, nothing was mentioned in the Roadkill car face off episode last week. I hope we see more appearances from Rick Pewe with the Roadkill guys he is a favorite of mine I have been reading him and Freiburger since I was a teenager in the 90s.

I just watched this how today, August 11 2016. A week ago, I did exactly the same thing they are doing. I clamped a bunch of angle iron together to make a Brake -- so I could make a spoiler from aluminum I cut from a road sign. It didn't work. Aluminum ruined. Wow. How amazing to see these guys doing this. And that exact same angle grinder -- lasted me about 20 minutes. I took it apart to see why. The brushes wore out quick and left the clip holding those brushes to rub against the motor contacts and ruin the motor. Harbor China Frieght not always so good.

First, i want to say, i heartily second your product endorsement of pb, that stuff is a life saver!! Second, thanks for all the flashback memories, as i've done at least 98% of the "engineering" you fellas did in the spirit of getting old cars back on the road. just a tip for the hotrod guys, you probably already know this, but if you take the gasket paper and lay it over the diff housing, you can actually use the ball end of a ball pene hammer to pene out a gasket to fit the housing. light taps and it'll cut the paper on the edge of the housing to make a pretty much perfect fit.

The sad thing is, I bet that car was in mint condition when parked. In 1999 I bought a 66 Skylark convertible off the original owner, a 91 year old little old lady. The off-white interior was in mint condition, even the original carpets and floor mats were perfect. The 300 V8 ran perfect as well. These Buicks are very fine road cars. I drove it in 2003 from RI to Michigan for the Buick 100th anniversary car show. It ran flawless..........
