Awesome ride. Such a sleeper. My favorite Nova ever made besides maybe a 70 Yenko Deuce. L79 Nova's were terrors on the drag strip because of their big block type power and super light weight. Always really liked the 68-69 Nova SS L78's and 69 Yenko Super Nova 427's also but the 66 L79 and 70 Yenko Deuce are my faves. The small block Nova's were much better handling cars than a 396/427 equipped Nova was

True story , in 1986 while searching for cars driving thru Winslow , Az on west end of town an old garage I found a 66' L79 Nova Marina Blue 4 speed with 119 original miles yes 119 , story was in 65' owner bought it new for wife in October 1965 and then died two weeks later and sat ever since . Condition was paint on hood ,roof and trunk were gone and surface rust , interior shot sun rotted tires all flat but original BFgoodrich white walls , owners son would not sell car as of 1988 still there !
