I have a 1965. The reverb is amazing on these. Yours sounds fantastic.

That is one gorgeous sound you are getting out of the vibrolux. I have a tweed vibrolux (no reverb) but it is broken. I play jazz now, no rock, really. I've been thinking about fixing the vibrolux and my Fender tele ('72). I feel guilty having them languish. I play in a Jazz Big Band with my 1955 Les Paul and use a Polytone mini brute V.

Thank you, there is more to this amp than meets the eye and I may do more videos about it. That is some nice gear you have there. A tweed vibrolux and vintage tele are definitely well worth maintaining. I find It’s good to rotate guitars and amps to change it up but vibrolux/strat has been my core tone for quite a few years.

You might get the internal reverb sound you are looking for by taking the reverb tank return line and running it into the NORMAL channel via appropriate cable and RCA-to-1/4" jack. This will allow you to clean up that bass end, by attenuating with the bass knob; plus, you can brighten the reverb return with the treble knob and even the bright switch. Sounds MUCH better than using the normal reverb set up in the VIBRATO channel. Your amp is gorgeous! Great sounding amp!

Pretty piece of music, and nice playing. On this example alone, in that room, the addition of reverb gives so much depth and emotion to your playing, that losing whatever resulting low end would be 100% worth it. I can't speak for various venues you may be playing that have different acoustics, but to me the Reverb really added to it. There's plenty of low in that reverb example, and the "vibrato" example....to my ear at least. It doesn't matter what you do to some extent until you get those Blackfaces and re-issue blackfaces up above 7....they just don't sound nearly as good, and you're constantly feeling like you're listening to a tone that's subpar compared to what it could be. At least that was always my experience with them. But...I could KICK myself for selling my 65 Super back in about 2001, and replacing it with a first gen re-issue Deluxe Reverb. Ugh.

Thank you, and I have to agree The reverb does sound great here. I need to do more videos of this amp + others like it, as I see the interest is definitely there.
