GM. New to the channel. I have a 1960 F250 I've names Beula. She's old big and blue and needs a lot of lovin. Fuel pump has been replaced but weeps at the fitting. I think Teflon tape will solve the problem. I'll also install a shut-off valve as this will be an Ice Cream getter, not a daily driver. Got it running, short to ground on coil, updated to electronic Ignition and replaced coil, rebuilt master clutch cylinder only to find out clutch was bonded to fly wheel. 2 hours later I got it free...mind you the brakes are questionable so normal solutions were modified. Laughed while I drove it around the yard.... she needs lube as well...... creaky in all the wrong places. Tested the brakes only to learn the passenger side rear in now locked up. currently on jacks to start that. I trailered it in 4 weeks ago. sat for over 4 years (or so I've been told). the objective is to getting it moving and stopping under it's own power before I store for the winter. Spring has some upgrades, mainly in the brakes. the lines look original. Wallace is in much better shape. I enjoy your videos.

Do you mind if I ask how much you paid and what area of the country you bought her from? A REALLY ROUGH 66 just sold here in Utah for $450, not running and more rust holes than I’d ever take on.

Troy -- your videos are amaizing and so helpful as I rebuild my '66 f-250. One question -- dod you replace the Starter? if so, how the heck did you remove it and replace it?

I pulled the starter but it tested fine off the truck and it looked “new-ish” so I put it back on. The positive lead wire was corroded and needed replaced. Once that was done the starter worked fine. 🤷🏼‍♂️ It wasn’t easy getting to that top bolt though! That’s why you’re asking I’m sure of it! I assure you it can be done though!

Thank you so much for this! I just inherited my grandpas 73 F250 and it has a fuel pump issue. I have two questions for you as I’m new to this. Will you need one of those in like filters between the fuel pump and carb? And do you have a fuel pump between your tank and fuel pump you just mounted? My grandpas has one but wasn’t sure it was needed. I bought a manual and just waiting for it to come. Thank you for your help! Or any insight. I’ll be subscribing to your channel.

Congrats on the new (to you) truck. I love keeping these old things on the road. You will need extra filters if you think the tank has nasty gunk inside. A filter pre pump will keep gunk from getting to the pump and ruining it prematurely. A filter after the pump and before the carb helps save clogged carb issues. I only run the one pump on any of my trucks. Any other questions please let me know. 🤘🏼

which brass fittings did you use?

The ones that fit. 😜 Kidding bro, for reals go to the local “The Orielly’s” and they can help get you what you need. Replace all soft fuel lines and hose clamps too. Will save you a ton of trouble later. 🤘🏼

I have a 77 f150 4×4 400cid , the fuel pump is in the same place but the bolt are one on top one on the bottom, the one on bottom is a stud long story short top bolt threads was half stripped because there wasn't a way to line the bolt up with the hole , new pump didn't work took it out and I could tell the lobe was engaging the pump arm right , but just incase I managed to not get it in right plus I find it hard to belive new pump was faulty any way top bolt threads are now mostly stripped its holding but barely pump still not pumping ...going to go with an electric fuel pump. I doant like the idea but I know that top bolt will not survive another replacement, and I doant know how to fix stripped out bolt hole %$#& it
