@@AmericaRoadster I made it my goal by 25 to own a 65-66 Mustang and Im proud to say at 24, I made it a reality. I saw this video years ago and its been my inspiration and design ideas ever since. I plan on doing the almost exact body style minus the hood because I always thought the old Mustangs needed a little wider body style. Love the color as well but I knew it wasnt Grabber Blue. It pops too much to be grabber blue. I thought it was Lambo Blu Nila but that wasnt made til way later when you posted this video. I'll find a color that I love thats close. I have so many plans for my dream car, I just dont know where to start haha

you got a good formula for presenting the cars on video, keep it up, talking to your audience is always welcome as well... tell us what kind of goodies your builds behold. this is a nice build. great job, one question...is that a maier racing front apron?

Hi soupercooper. Thanks for your comments. No time for SEMA unfortunately but would love to go... This car has all Maier racing body parts, Mustang II front end, 4 link rear suspension, adjustable coilovers all around, 5.0 EFI with Paxton supercharger, TKO600 and 3.73 Alburn posi. I can't help it. it's simply badass :)

Cobra Automotive in Conn. just retooled their GT350R front racing apron to sell, its comes highly recommended from the GT350R historic racing circuit crowd, (interviewed at laguna seca august 2017) it comes in a black primer to prove the quality of the build that black cant hide. so I'm going to purchase that one firsthand and i let you know if its fitment and quality is good or bad. id like to talk to you again about rolling fenders and quarter panel wheelhouse lips for wider tires without tubs. i finally got the paint stripped off to bare metal and I'm ready for this procedure and love to recap with you on this once again if you dont mind??
@AmericaRoadster7 жыл бұрын
Sure thing, it really is simple, especially whne done BEFORE paiting car. Just get good body hammer and dolly and work from bottoms up towards center and within 2-3 rounds it should get completely flat. The center/top will have most tension so dont try to get it flat on first round. Ill check that frobt apron..I get mine from Maier Racing and their fiberglass is the best I've seen. Costs little more but its very close to painting condition with just minor prep.
@sacooper8027 жыл бұрын
I see Maier racing website is using some of your builds for example of their fiberglass products, pretty cool! Im also looking at their new Italian monster front apron as well. Re: MF65RAMC: 1965-6 Racing apron with molded spoiler “competition” version , thanks for the fender lip tech tips, this explains it all clearly now, Im sure adding a few slits on the lips will reduce metal stretching and tension as well during hammer and dolly process. You should enter "battle of the builders" for SEMA competition with one of your builds. Getting SEMA recognition is good for business.
@AmericaRoadster7 жыл бұрын
whatever you do, don't do the monster kit. There's a reason why there's only one car like that ... It's too much.. everything on it is too much. Buy the 'regular' racing apron with spoiler or even without it and it's just right on the money. I actually think the spoiler on mine would be too much for regular narrow body but works well with the widebody.. In any case, I'm pleased Maier Racing has my car on the web. Actually, 2 of my cars were their biggest Facebook posts ever - Saleen and this one.... needless to say it made my day! I'm just a private guy making cars the way he thinks they should've been made :-)

Man!...You must have a private yard full of 64 1/2 to 66 Ford Mustang Coupes and Fastbacks just waiting for you to do your thing too! Is this just a Hobby or do you have a Shop you work out of? The reason I am asking is that I use to own a 66 Ford Mustang Coupe back in my High School Days and I fixed it up like a 66 Shelby GT350 Mustang Coupe! I've been thinking of doing a more modern day version but using more Hi Tech Mods! I was wondering do you do customer cars or is this just your own hobby? I was thinking maybe we can do a project together! Lastly, do you sell these cars? Thanks and God Bless!

Yes. Why do u make rude comments like that? Who r u to tell me how to build cars? Can u build cars??? Do they get positive reviews by 99.99% of public (you being the exception)? Do they sell 20k higher than most comparable cars? I know the answer to most of these questions is BIG NO because I would know you and your cars...Since I don't, you are in no position to judge the way you did because you don't know what sells. Trust me.
