At 8:00 that is not a steam vent. It is a radiator overflow. You need to put a tube on the vent and vent it to the ground or better yet put an overflow tank attached to the tube. If you do not have an overflow tank, your mustang will burp about 2 inches of fluid the first time you get up to temperature. With the overflow tank, the coolant will be sucked back into the radiator when the system cools. You may also want to put some type of sealant on the threads of those screw in fittings. Better safe than sorry. We built an almost identical setup 1966 Mustang for my son but he has the 4 barrel Sniper with a 1990 roller 5.0 motor and an Air Gap manifold. He also has a T5 transmission. That's not a lot of clearance between the fan and pulley. That's what I'm looking at with my 65 Mustang and 5.0 motor. How has that worked out...any touching?

Never had any issues with it. Just hard to get that pulley off.

The radiator will do wonders for the cooling and power of the car. having the electric fans is a plus. I had one question about the job. Does the Mustang need/call for an overflow tank?

Electric fan barely ever kicks on lol. Unless it’s sitting for a while in traffic.I almost thought the fan was broken the temps take forever to get high enough to kick on.

Must mean the radiator is keeping it nice and cool! I'm thinking of adding a switch in the dash to turn it on whenever I want or feel like it should be on (bumper to bumper traffic)

@@yakmalxc I have the Holley Sniper kick it on at 195, but the car is usually at 190 most of the time.

It’s a 302, I had a 351 but I ended up selling it for this complete engine.
