There are still some. Mustang/Mustang Shelby, Dodge Challenger and Charger, and the new C8 Corvette is affordable exotica. I wish Pontiac and Olds and Mercury were still around.

I had a 66 also. Black vinyl top over sea foam green. Paid $800.00 for it in 1976.. one owner with 90000 miles on it. Smoked a little at start up. Two speed transmission with 389. Sold it several year later when gas prices increased.. Friends told me not to sell it but was married and had a baby. i once dreamed that it was in the garage, it was so real I went and checked, sorry no car. What a let down😪.

Great car. I just finished my first 1969 AMC AMX GO PACK WITH EVERY AVAILABLE OPTION 390. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND FIND THE GAS STATION THAT SELLS NO ETHANOL GAS. AFTER 7 months gas went bad a ruined tank, carborator and fuel pump. Man I was pissed. All for putting 93 octane with ethanol in it. Rock on. Neal

I cant remember the color A relative had one that was gold or tan which I was lucky to drive it some. He ended up selling it for peanuts he tried ot find it but the place he bought it from had a fire and never could find the vin number. I should have let me dad buy it from him when he was first talking about selling as we might still have it. When he and friends went to vegas in the late 80s or into the 90's , he found one on a classic car lot that was around 35,000.00.

Good as Gold. personally like 1965 the best, but that is just me. And just think none of that annoying electronic stuff to drive you batshit crazy, like abs electronic modules. Back then we knew when somethin was not right, did not need a lit up dash to show it.
@dangerdavefreestyle3 жыл бұрын
yeah, nobody actually needs abs. and when theres a fault in the system its a nightmare to repair plus an annoying light on the dash. same with tire pressure monitoring systems. foolish nonsense. o2 sensors, catalytic converters, all nothing but nonsense.

As the name says. I’m an olds guy. But, I’m forever grateful to the pontiac guys. I found a 66 olds tripower from a Pontiac guy. That didn’t realize how few Oldsmobile tripower intakes were made. So, In my senior year of high school 1982. I drove a 69 442. With a10.25:1 mechanical compression ratio 455 cu in v8. . And, 2.56:1 final drive. And, an extremely rare 1966 tripower intake. Honestly, by the numbers, most of the cars I’ve own since then, have been progressively “better”. I’d still take that 10.25:1 normally aspirated 455 in a street fight
