This particular instrument pretty much defines the sound of that legendary rock band from Venice. Robby and John were also important, and Jims lyrics as well, no question. But, whenever you hear THIS particular organ sound, you instantly know it's the Doors.

@austin_hutto6 жыл бұрын
luckily there were no broken contacts, but a couple tonecards and the preamp were screwed up, it also doesn't help that the preamp was directly behind the drawbars where the moving drawbars could come in contact with the wiring. @austin_hutto6 жыл бұрын
Richard Demartino my friend bought the organ for me in California , he paid ups to package it and ship it , it was packaged with bubble wrap and packing peanuts, so any damage was their responsibility , also it was shipped ups ground so it’s my assumption that in transit it was thrown around because when I got it , their were stabs in the box where a corner edges dented marks in the box

I have a 1968 Vox Continental Made in Italy version. Mine sounds a whole lot brighter than yours.. to a point where its ear piercing. @austin_hutto4 жыл бұрын
The OM Network that’s just how the 301E sounds. the tone cards are a bit different from the others. the only thing that really stands out to me is that the sound , sounds more clicky and bright than the rest. it’s cool because each era and model of the organ has a different and distinct sound. Like 301j is very British Invasion because a lot of groups at that time played that model, 301H is played by American groups as it was manufactured in California , then the 301E was also being played in American as well because they stopped producing the 301h , and the 301e became more produced
