My dad owned Riviera's from 63, 67, 71, 76, 80,84 and 89. All my childhood days through my late 20's, dad would get a new Riviera about every 4 years or so. By far the 67 was my favorite!

Great story Jerry. I restored my dad's Riv in the late '80s and still have it today.

This car is gangster for real. Old school Lincolns are my favorite but the Riviera I can roll with.
@califdad45 жыл бұрын
Riviers handled a lot better than the Lincolns did, had a bit more pick up also
@richardmorris706310 ай бұрын
You have good taste, I love the early 61 Lincolns but they're crazy expensive. Plus a Riv especially the GS is a sportier car all around. Ill take one of each.

Good for you Jerry! I too have a lifelong ride but it needs alot more work before it looks like yours LOL. 1980 LeSabre Ltd coupe, 231 3.8L, TH350 trans, 2.78 (2.73?) rear end, notchback velour interior. Approaching 330,000 miles. BTW GM pilfered a digit from the odometer to put it on the sales sticker. I've long since put it right! I love Buicks. Treat 'em well & they run forever. Consumers deserve no less! 😊

I have a 1970 Riviera that I would like to have whoever did this work to restore mine. I've been beat up dealing with other so called restorers.
@califdad45 жыл бұрын
I had a 70 Riviera years ago, my first car. Only Riv made that had fender skirts. Good luck with the restoring
@MostlyBuicks3 жыл бұрын
Had one almost exactly like that one, including color. But mine had power windows and a vinyl top.
@curtislucero13313 жыл бұрын
...power-windows are the worst !! ..too many problems and money !!
@MostlyBuicks3 жыл бұрын
@@curtislucero1331 I have replaced a couple of power window motors in my life. No big deal. In fact I converted my 1964 Skylark convertible to power windows. What is the point of having a power top if then you have to get out of the car to crank all 4 windows down?

WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW, my Father had a 66 Toronado for many years until the rear frame rusted out and the car became dangerous, too many MA winters-- I see the 67 Riviera has the same speedometer as the 66 Toronado, Jerry did the right thing by restoring and not selling
