My father had an olive green 1967 Datsun 520 truck. This brings back memories.

While the inside of the bed was looking rough, after painting the outside, I would paint the underside of it with black rust olem paint. Once you've painted all your blue coloring on the outside of the bed itself, get the black bed liner coating to paint on the inside the bed itself to protect the bed.

That color looks almost like the original Datsun 572 teal.

very interesting intake manifold!! I know this is an old vid and you don't have it anymore.....but for other viewers......I'm pretty sure the radiator is stock...it just had to get moved forward since the PO put a much longer motor in there without cutting the firewall. The engine bay on the 520's is shorter than the 521's that were made to handle the L series engine.

Yes I sold the truck a week after I finished it. I was doing some work on a 65 320 truck for a client and when he saw pics with my truck in the background he wanted it and made me an offer I couldn't refuse. It had an L16 and 5 speed and it was a dream to drive, even on the freeway. you need to checkout the video of me restoring my 67 411 Wagon. You made the brackets for the disc brake conversion for it!

I found one of the 411 wagon(first start and exhaust) with just a passing glance of the brakes, but I'm not finding a vid of the 411 getting rebuilt. I searched your channel for 411 and again for rebuild. Is it unlisted or somewhere else?

Just noticed it says you have 311 subscribers......fitting......but needs a few more zeros behind it. :)

How disappointing... Loved this video and the amazing transformation that began but at the end it said it said to check back for reassembly and more videos. The only one I could find with this truck is a test drive with a camera hanging out the window. Am I missing the other videos? I just stumbled across this tonight and having owned two 520's in my time I was excited for more. Thanks

You are not missing the other videos as I had a catastrophic event happen with the hard drive the rest of the assembly pictures were on. I wish I had them as I put a lot of work into reassembling that truck. The hardest part was changing the clutch as it had an L16 and 5 speed swapped in it and the transmission mount was not done well. I had to cut it out and make one that was easily removable so that the next time the clutch needed replaced it would be easy. I wish I hadn't sold it as it was a dream to drive with the 5 speed.

@@Zippy67roadster I'm so sorry to hear that! It would have been great content to watch you get that all back together again. Both of mine were bone stock and I often wondered how fun it would be to see what it drove like with a 5-speed and something a little better than the 67 HP that 1300 had! LOL!!! Find another and we'll watch you do it all over again!

What color is that? My dad has a 1971 Nissan datsun pick up truck and it's the same color but we don't know what it's called?

A 521 series Datsun/Nissan truck is the much newer designed truck than the 520 series Datsun/Nissan trucks. After the 521 series truch came the 620 series Datsun/Nissan trucks.
