Calling De Melis a “Mustang enthusiast” is like calling the Pope “an ardent Catholic.” The 31-year-old eats, lives, and breathes Mustang, both professionally - until recently, she worked for Ford’s social media team - and in her free time, running her own “Mustang Marie” website, Facebook, and Instagram pages.
She’s spent hours upon hours digging through Ford’s corporate archives; has met, interviewed, and befriended many of the big names in the Mustang world, including the pony car’s now-late stylist, Gale Halderman; and has even memorized the options and VIN-code breakdowns for most first-gens. Yes, give her the serial number of your ’66 hardtop, and she’ll tell you off the top of her head where it was built, and with what engine and features.

I've got one, small block 67 orange rear jacket up wider tires to get that drag look, I took my dash cushion off, and it looked better, like a rat rod, has holes drilled in it for weight

That was an awesome story. Raven is in amazing condition. You are very fortunate to have found such a beautiful piece of Muscle car history. I have owned a yellow and black 69 Fastback in 1973, a cherry red 2008 GT Convertible and a white 2014 GT Convertible which I still have. Those cars have been my babies so I can certainly relate to some cars being treated almost as it's own person. Take good care of Raven and may you have memorable adventures together.

I owned a '67 GT notch back when I was 16 yrs. old. Fully loaded, AC, power brakes, even had the overhead console. It was red with a black interior. Totally stock other than Hooker headers, Edelbrock intake, Holley 850 double pumper, and Hurst 4 spd. shifter. My only complaint with it was changing the spark plugs. I loved that car but had to sell it when I went in the military. 53 yrs. later I still regret that sale more than any other in my life. Go Ford! BTW: The guy I sold it to scared himself with it so bad that he sold it a month later. The good days.

Around 1972, I traded (because of gas shortage) my 67 mustang GT 390 cu in for a Maverick thinking better mileage. The GT350 was Midnight Blue with Parchment Interior. As beautiful as yours.How stupid was I ? Then later I restored a 66 mustang GT350H (Hurst). No sooner was it finished, I sold it for a down payment on a home for my new wife. Every day I regret both decisions. I should have tried to come up with better alternatives. I can appreciate how you feel about your beauty.
