You never get old driving a Mustang. At 71 I still have my 1966 Gt 350 Shelby Mustang with only 61,000 miles on it. Second owner bought in 1971 for 1000.00 dollars. Candy Apple Red with white stripes 4 speed 389 locker pulling about 380 horses out of a hypo 289. It is still a fast car when it was new and now too. Boy does it gets the looks when she is out.

Now this is a proper restomod. So refreshing to not see a small block Chevy. Beautiful car Amazing sounding motor 😎👍 And don't get me wrong I'm just a purist. Nothing wrong with Chevrolet, they build awesome engines. I believe that if it's a Ford car it should have a Ford power plant. Chevy should have a Chevy power plant. Honda, 'Yoter, Dodge ect... So on and so forth. Just my opinion. 😎

The "Black Widow" Rear End is COOL as ICE!! I really like how all the OLD automobiles have mostly all METAL parts (door handles, metal lock cylinders embedded DIRECTLY into the METAL doors, the grille, etc.) They were so much better built QUALITY that gives you way more DURABILITY than the cheap-ass plastic parts on today's vehicles!!

Isn't you omelet getting cold. :) Nice car, I have a 67 i am building. 408 stroker but not to that extreme. Killer car!
523 as in cubic inches !!!??? :-O (asking from germany)
@LGH6663 жыл бұрын
Yes cubic inches, Its based on the 385 series ford block used for the 429's and 460's. I don't know the exact combo to get to 523 but for this class that is pretty small. A good stock four bolt iron block can go 575 easy and in aftermarket iron blocks 600+" is easy. If you have deep pockets aluminum tall blocks can go into the 700+ range. The money is irrelevant options use aluminum blocks with increased bore spacing and deck heights to go into the 800+ range I've heard tails of 900" monsters as well. Kind of the base level in these engines is a 514" 4.440 bore and a offset grind on the stock iron 460 crank to 4.150" stroke, you cut the crank rod size from ford size to BBC size and take the difference as added stroke. I always used a 6.8" rod length as these are easy and cheaper to get as BBC parts and made bottom end piston to crank clearance issues go away. The 575 ( 4.5 x 4.5) will easy peasy make 1000 hp NA with good heads. So yeah 523 is really on the small end of the spectrum for these engines.
