@Kilmat Does your Insulation protect against heat as well as sound or is it just a sound deadener?

Late but kill may is not an “insulator” u need r value for heat etc’ Also it’s not a sound deadener marketing had really tricked ppl / mid lead them’ Think of a drum cymbal u bang it it echos and vibrates’ that’s what this eliminates it stops reverb / vibration of metal panels that is why u r wasting material if u try to cover more than 50-60% It will make things a hair quieter as u stop the vibrations n panels but it is not A ROAD NOISE deadener’ U need to put this type of product on metal 50-60% coverage then u need closed cell foam not open cell foam usually 1/8-1/4” closed cell foam on-top of this as a decouple layer 100% coverage Not we bring n the heavy guns Now u put mlv - mass loaded vinyl heavier the better at 100% coverage’ this will now stop vibration hit the foam middle layer and dissipate sound with the MLVm u could stop there but if u want even more sound proofing u would get carpet jute backing lay that on-top of mlv then your cars carpet’ For an even more air tight seal oem weatherstripping sucks’ u need to add like d shape 3m backed weather strip around every door top side bottom but leave your oem weatherstrip’ this all combined will give u the most affective quiet car Of course ontop of all this tires play a huge part in sound’ some tires r very loud others far quieter have to do reviews / specs of tires Think of it this way any where air can leak in sound can travel in and there’s nothing stoping it’ u want it as air tight as possible’ Don’t get the cheap $50 mlv roll u get what U pay for’ you’re looking at a good 175-200$ for a roll of mlv a good $100-150 for the foam de couple layer and then depending on brand $150 or so in butyl / foil like kill mat dyno mat etc If u can’t afford to do it right u can’t afford to do it’ no offense to anyone just trying to help ppl’ Marketing is very misleading these days’ so hope this helps someone And 1 more thing glass Glass is very bad at sound absorption Oem cars put the car together as cheap as possible to make more money sadly’ U can get acoustic glass but it is not cheap’ however if u do the above correctly and skip the acoustic glass I think u will be very happy’ Even more happy with the glass But we’re talking u have to strip your car to the bare bones’ u have to do firewall floor pan door panels etc’ if u just want better sound for speakers throw this in door panel and call it a day but if u r going For luxury level sound proofing you’ll need to do the above mentioned steps Hope this helps someone in the future

Can I apply it on rhino line inside my car

Good day! In order for Kilmat material to work it has to be in direct contact with the (primed or painted) metal surface of a vehicle(regular car paint). We do not recommend installing our material on surface coated with a bedliner/rhino liner , since the effectiveness of our product may be significantly reduced if metal was treated with such type of insulation . Moreover, the material might simply not work as it has to be installed directly to the metal surface for it to absorb the vibrations and rattles.
