I like the color combo of the blue with the maroon/red interior. I hope you go back to that after you clean things up

Love the 1967 GTO. I had one it was moss green with a darker vinyl top. Brought back memories. Loved that car. Guess I need to purchase this model. Thank you. Great video and workmanship as always. Will be supporting your channel.

Very cool! The GTO was always a great car, I just wish they produced a better Model Kit of it, but this one is serving it's purpose.

I could never afford a paint stand. I would put a big wad of masking tape on the lid of a Krylon "Short Order" can instead. You're doing fine, Kalan. Old men modelers can't resist sharing our experiences. :D

The stands are not that expensive!

Try hanging the body on a Pringles can, preferably an empty one.

Good idea! Thank you. Pringles cans near me become empty at an appalling rate!@@rickr442

Shame about what happened Kalan, but you will get there.

Thanks Richard, It is good practice at any rate lol. I may take another attempt with this kit just to see if I can improve on it some.

Whether you're painting with a spray can or an airbrush, it's best to start and end each stroke off the end of the model. You get less splatter and orange peel. It's slow going until you develop a rhythm, but it saves in clean up time after you paint. Ask me how I know. On second thought, don't ask. LOL. You're doing great and don't sweat the mishaps. Stuff happens. You were right to move on. Fixing a mishap right after it happens leads to frustration and more mishaps. Can you tell I've been building models since 1966?

Glue those two parts of the paint stand together. I opened that kit then put the lid back on and put it in the trash not worth the money to build. I would rather see you do a build from start to finish instead of jumping around.

That's a great idea Matthew for the paint stand! Thank you! Honestly, I can see why you would toss it in the bin. The Engine has little to no detail and will be hard to improve on. I'll move forward with it just to work out painting up the body and seeing how things turn out. I'll consider it practice before getting into the Hudson Hornet. Thank you for the build input. I really do appreciate it and agree with you. I will be trying to focus more on doing one kit from start to finish instead of attempting to build 11 at a time lol. Hope you're doing well Matthew and we definitely need to get together sometime for a facetime or Zoom get together. Take care and talk to you soon.

Coupla things about that kit… the chassis is woefully inaccurate, having been hacked from the ‘70-‘72 GTO kits. That flat extension at the rear of the chassis is not accurate, the rear axle locating blocks are wrong, and the exhaust pipes are just dumb.PLEASE use a little modeling talent and at least fab some better tailpipes!
