A very nice and overlooked AMC from the time.

It certainly is nice and it certainly was overlooked at the time. What a rare sighting I had with this Ambassador. Thanks Andy for watching.

Even as a young guy (Me), I liked their look back in the day and this car still looks better than some of the competitors of the time. Did you see the owner's box of 8 tracks in the backseat! 💥

I seldom saw an Ambassador back in the day so I was so pleased to find this top of the line AMC model. It does have a distinct and different look from the competition. I did see the 8 tracks in the back seat. Thanks Chris for admiring this Ambassador.

Beautiful Ambassador SST Warren. The AMC automotives were some very well built cars. I owned a 1970 Ambassador 4dr Retired army staff car way back in the late eighties. Pretty all standard basic options and no AC at power steering or power brakes.. 258 in line six and 3 speed manual on the column. Still had it's Dept. Of Defense numbers and stars painted on it. Bought it for $200 bucks. I kept it a while then like everything else. I sold it For 900 bucks to military equipment collector. So it got a good home.

Another amazing story of how you pick up these gems and like it and own it for a while and then eventually you sell it at a profit. I always admire AMC cars for their uniqueness and quality. AMC have produced some great products. Glad your military Ambassador got a good home with a military equipment collector so that car will most likely live on forever. Another great story Doug and thanks for the telling of it.

This is a nice one. I would have stopped to look this over too. The 67-68 Ambassadors were very handsome cars, plush, comfortable , well equipped. If memory serves, AC had become standard. In the mid to late 50s AMC with its various sizes and models of Ramblers was making hay while the Big 3 with their land yachts had no answer for compact and economy cars. By the late 60s that had totally changed- Big 3 offered competitors for everything AMC made, and the small company was feeling the pressure.

I certainly couldn't pass this AMC jewel up. Yes, A/C was standard issue to the top of the line Ambassador. Advertising writers gushed and stated that this was the most air conditioned car at the time which was not only an exaggeration but a downright lie. The competition to the Big Three was always tough and eventually all those magnificent AMC models couldn't compete and the company finally folded to be absorbed by Chrysler. Happy to know you enjoyed this ML and thanks for that and your comments.

Agreed. Thought AMC styling peaked these years especially with the Javelin.

@@curtcollett2893 Oh Man, I love the Javelin. Just another example of genius from lowly AMC. Many thanks Curt for enjoying this Ambassador SST.

Good Morning 55lincoln, First I love the original little clock on the dashboard. In Australia I think this may have been sold as AMC Rambler. I love the original paint and interior. Another perfect time capsule They were a luxury car, however I don't think they were for some reason in Australia very popular. Personally I felt they were better in both appearance and handling than Australia version of the Ford Falcon or our GM equivalent the Holden. An underrated car by Motoring Journalists and subsequently low sales. Thanks for this video of a beautiful time capsule .

Not too many of these Ambassador SST's left but this one looks brand new. This doesn't show any wear at all either in paint, chrome, or interior. I doubt many of these even made it to Australia. Thanks Austin for watching this and all your comments.

I’ve never been a fan of AMC cars but this one is very nice with handsome contemporary styling. To me, it looks rather Ford-ish, which I mean as a compliment.

I think the top of the line AMC Ambassador has it all. Good styling. Excellent interior. And a look no other car could have. A very unique vehicle from AMC of all places. Thanks Jimz for enjoying.
