I had a 1964 R69US shortly after I came home from Vietnam. Before that I had a Zundapp and a couple triumphs. The R69 was y far the nicest bike to ride I ever had. I thought what I wanted it o do and it just did it. Sadly it was stolen in 1972 ,never recovered in Pepperell,Massachusetts From where it was parked in plain clear sight of the Chief of police office.

Great video! I used to own an R69S/US and man, I love(d) it! Best bike ever. Not a speedy bike, but the low center of gravity, the nimbleness and the overall classiness makes it one of all kinds!

I've always loved the R/ series boxer models. Many different angles with only the engine providing the background music. Excellent video. Excellent motorcycle!

Beatiful bike and ride since you didn´t play any music like most people do, just the music from the engine. Had a 1955 R69 which I purchased in 1980 and after 31 years I sold it. Still miss it. No matter what don´t you ever sell yours, they are very difficult to get nowadays.

Seriously, those skinny jeans are heinous on a man. Great bike though...

I didn't even notice the rider's apparel -- just the riding position which is so much better than the Lazy-Boy, birthing table position of the big American cruisers who prefer the wind blowing up their pants legs. The "sit-up-and-beg" position is more comfortable, easier on the back and gives much better handling -- for anyone who snow-skis knows that putting the knees farther forward than the feet gives an aggressive stance with quicker response. When I ride "standard" motorcycles, I can wear my hiking boots but when I ride "cruisers" with the feet-forward position, I have to wear western style boots to keep the wind from blowing up my legs.
