Good afternoon, I saw Luke’s garage videos of the engine swap on his 69 charger 6.4 liter and I can see that you have all your original gauges with your engine swap working. What did you do to get your gauges to work with your engine swap because when Luke’s did his engine swap only his fuel gauge was working?

The gauges in the 68 are analog not digital. So you simply run redundant pressure/temp sensors and feed those signals to your factory gauges. Example - I run the 68 oil pressure sensor in my oil filter relocation adapter hose. It's pretty simple and keeps all factory gauges. The tach signal will need to be driven by a separate device from Dakota Digital - tach adapter. I have a 69 charger b-body and I’m considering doing an engine swap with a 6.4L and was wondering if I start doing the job if it’s ok for me to ask questions when I come across them, If so I was also wondering if I can I have your email to ask my questions? Also if you don’t want to I will understand. Just a few questions for now… How long did it take you to do the engine swap? Is it worth it? And does it generate more problems? I know that the purpose for the engine swap is to have less problems and be able to use the car with more confidence. Have you had the results that you expected?

@@MiguelBalderasMora I'd be happy to help. My email is [e-mail] The swap took a few weeks to complete because mostly I was waiting for parts and had to modify some things to fit. Yes it was totally worth it. Car makes a lot more power, gets great gas mileage and is super reliable.

That would be different! As long as you can figure out the oil pan clearance, you should be good to go.

Someone is bound to make a standard yoke for the output of that trans. That would help you a good bit on the torsion bar crossmember.

It's the shifter out of the donor car - 2006 Dodge charger shifter from the factory console. I adapted it to fit my 68 by drilling a template and attaching the shifter to the template metal and screwing that to the floor of my car.

You use all the mechanism down to the tranny from the 2006 or just the shifter.

I used the original one from the donor car - 2006 Dodge Charger Daytona. But later I changed the shift knob on it.

2006 Dodge Daytona R/T is what it came out of. 5.7 Hemi with NAG1 transmission 5 speed auto. Rated from factory around 350hp but I've added 1-7/8" headers, 3" exhaust, cold air, removed all smog, and put it on E85 custom tuning. It runs pretty well in this old car!
