1968 Corvette L79 327/350 hp 4 spd - Rev on the red line

This little baby comes to life at 5700 RPM. Stock 1968 Corvette purchased from the original owner. Matching numbers. Car has 71K on it. Equipped with a 4 speed trans, 327 cubic inch with 350 horse power. Always puts a smile on my face to hear it come alive. Got to push it to the red line once in a while. Got to put the baby away for the winter. One of the last nice fall days...

Are they the same bore as a 350, but the same stroke and that the 305 was different bore but same stroke as 350. The few 327s I have seen are way better than 305.? I have always heard they love to rev fast. A boss of mine when I was younger had one in a truck and at the time it was the late 90s. He did quite a bit to the engine and it was way faster than just about anything from the factory then.

I have a 1968 Convertible.. my car was originally safari yellow like yours, also I had the L79 motor with a 4 speed and it was removed for a 70s 350 with automatic. sigh do you enjoy the safari yellow ?

+Adam Othman I always stand on mine keeps me young & the engines clean. Abusing classics is another thing altogether what he's doing here is perfectly normal. I've owned & tuned more muscle than most in 10 lifetimes.Amen to old school high-perf kept me out of drugs & trouble!

Keeping a 327 under 6 grand is staying conservative, I happily revved mine to 7K many times, different stock engines in the past. They were a little past the power-curve obviously. If I had a classic now I'd use AARP rod bolts and good rods and off ya go.
