Taking A 1968 Chevrolet Corvette For A Cruise! | Just Drive

In this episode of Just Drive we are driving a 1968 Chevrolet Corvette! The 1968 Corvette was the first year model for the C3 generation of Corvette. The C3 generation is somewhat blemished because of the economic crisis during the time but this 1968 Corvette was a blast to drive.
This 1968 Chevrolet Corvette is equipped with a zz383 engine and practically a straight pipe exhaust. The loppy cam gives it a nice idle but when open the throttle, the Corvette exhaust is very loud. Surprisingly the exhaust in this C3 Corvette has some rasp as well. Its not typically to hear an old school american engine with rasp. Regardless, the video doesn't do it justice because this Corvette exhaust sounds amazing

I just came across this video. Gorgeous car and magnificent sound. I love it! Would love to drive one sometime. Back in the 90’s, I had a 1990 C4. The only thing I didn’t like about it was that it was an automatic.

When I got my first real job after college in 1967 , @ 24 , I ordered my dream car - this 1968 Corvette convertible in safari yellow , 425/390 ( o boy was it 425 or?) . What a beauty! It was and still is a gorgeous car. Why didn't I appreciate it more at the time?
