1968 Dodge Coronet White Glue Review - MPC 1/25 scale plastic model car kit

It's time again for another White Glue Review (WGR) of the MPC 1968 Dodge Coronet Convertible plastic model car kit in 1/25th scale from MPC Round2 AMT. In this video I not only show all of the pieces in the kit, I also assemble the entire kit in Elmers white glue and then offer my opinion of how it all fits together and things to look out for and modify.

Nice review James! Round2 seems to be doing a good job re-engineering parts of these golden oldies. The clear headlights is almost a must in today's models. Hope they keep it up!

Great review. I love the extras like the trailer and all the extra tools and stuff. My guess is that there was a police version of this available at some point as those clear parts look like police lights.

Very nice job Round 2 bought this car back out being retooled a bit. This model went together very well, I have the original MPC 68 Coronet hardtop and it doesn't have the bosses and mounting points anywhere except on the chassis so this is a better assembling model than my hardtop is. Yes, the air cleaner seems to sit a bit low, nothing that a small piece of styrene spacer can't fix to alleviate the problem. The inner fenderwells are better than my original 68 hardtop that I wouldn't bother with pieces from a 68 Road Runner to replace in the convertible. I enjoyed another round of white glue review on this kit, Its very entertaining and educational as well. Keep up the the good work on your channel!

Thanks James for the test fit and your comments on the trouble spot of the kit, Strange that they didn't think about the well and tire problem with really not enough to go around so it ends up as kind of a mismatch but it work .The interior your right it doesn't fit just right but maybe a peace of evergreen might fix that are some glue and holding but all in all looks to be a really cool kit .Love your test build videos that way we get to see were the problems are .As for the engine think I would swap it out to so guess I would see what iceman has to offer .Again you do great work love the videos keep them coming .

My friend in college had a white Coronet 440 from the mid 1960’s with a 318 V8, I believe. I loved taking that car to auto shop because everything was so easy to work on. My 1977 VW Rabbit was quite the opposite!

Excellent build review James. I am currently bashing this kit into a 78 Dodge Monaco. I am using the engine from the 68 in it, almost have the engine finished, I added some extra details and it looks decent.

@@ScaleModelExperiment look at it when you have some time. The rear leaf of the 1/25 Dana 60 fits right on the 1/24 under body holes. The dimensions of many parts found in the 1/25 kit are actually the same or even larger than the simplified and toyish looking Monogram 1/24 kits.
