Back in the day (1981) I had 69 Dart. I moved the leaf springs inboard, rewelded the spring perches, and made mini tubs. I put 4.56 posi in it and fit L60-15 on factory rallye wheels. I had the axels drilled for the big bolt pattern. No internet back then. Everything was learned from experience.

Back in 1971 I had a 65 Dart 273 High performance. It came from California to Ohio but it had a 7 1/4" Open 3.55 rear.😢 I found a 69 340 Rear 8 3/4" and it bolted right in except I had to shorten the drive shaft some. I put in some 4.88 gears and fenderwell headers and that thing ran 14.70's!! I beat a lot of 383 Roadrunners with that car! It even held a AHRA National Record for a while when I raced it!

Great guy. Met him in 2019 pre Covid, such a cool dude, down to earth and being a fan of his old mag mopar muscle articles and host on engine masters/roadkill garage he signed a couple items I had on me. It was a chance encounter so One item was a T shirt for Allis Chalmers farm tractors lol but him having a farm/ranch and being farmall guy he respected my allis chalmers collection and loyalty. The other item being an OLDS 442 W30 Hat I had on. Of all the hats I couldn’t have had my 70-72 duster or demon hats or shirts on lol. All and all awesome dude and seems like the kind of friend you would love to have helping You work on your car over a weekend or in his case and knowledge a month or 2 or 3. Love your channel Steve. You and Dave are awesome together but your down to earth attitude and demeanor are more in tune with mine so you happen to be my favorite of all the guys on motortrend. Best of luck and hope all is well with grape season 2022 JR
