The chemistry between these guys is awesome. Dulcich is a frick’n beast! These 2 guys have to be among the most knowledgeable people in the automotive world today. I just really love the way they explain what they’re doing, don’t take anything too seriously and they appear to having some great fun doing something that brings them joy. When you add in the fact that they share this with the public I feel fortunate that I’m able to watch it. Finnegan and his crew are awesome too.

Man that takes me back! I had a 67 with factory 273v8 2bbl, 727 and posi. Me and my brother pulled it, swapped in a 557 lift purpleshaft, sent the heads off for 3 angle and double springs, added a streetmaster 318 edelbrock, 850 holley doublepump, cyclone headers with 2.5" duals straight into 30" walker turbos with turndowns in front of the axle to send reverb back up into the car. Totally wicked monster that drank quite well from that 850 and would light em up anywhere up to 60 on dry pavement. Never put a tach on it but I am pretty sure it revved over 8k stock. Never heard a v8 scream that loud and high, with the typical Chrysler cackle at idle. Man I miss that car. Glad to see another one being kept alive!!

Not sure if mentioned in comments, they did offer a dart in 1969 with a factory 440! Interesting though the dart with a 340 could do better times in the 1/4 mile. That's because the 440 had very restricted exhaust manifolds, with headers though and not spinning the tires the 340 didn’t stand a chance.
That was awesome! Rebuild the 440 from like Indy cylinder head and paint that sucker

I think you should go ahead and paint the rest of the car in turbine bronze with a flat black hood. It doesn't have to be showcar perfect, but just clean up any rough stuff and do some filler in the dings. It would be a great driver. I had a '71 Barracuda in Turbine Bronze and it really gleemed in the sunlight. '68 Darts are mean looking cars with the right wheels, tires and stance. Actually, I think the Mopar Magnum wheels would look great on it.
