I also have a MIM classic series reissue and it doesn't sound anywhere near as full as that. Trying to find what to change.

One way to start could be to swap the steel saddles for brass ones (although the original Thinlines had steel saddles). But, I think the surefire way would have to be swapping the pickups. And how do you like your classic series? Is yours ash or mahogany?

I now have Seymour Duncan Hot Tele pickups installed, quite satisfied, though I still have an issue with string buzz. It seems like the neck is sitting too high in the pocket.

I know it's Vintage but it don't sound no better than today's thinlines so to me that don't justify a high price for Vintage just a Way for people to ask more money for an older piece if wood its all bull crap
