Beautiful car. I have the fast top version all original with black vinyl top and 383 hp. Wish they still made cars with this much appeal.

Big Block Mopars neve rover heat,only time they do is when the radiator is plugged / shot or you need a waterpump or thermostat ! I own a 10 second 1/4 mile 68 Charger RT,My Dad owned a 70 Cuda 440 6 barrel since new,260,000 miles and never over heated even in hot Nevada summers ! Uncles had 426 hemi cars never over heated...I owned every Mopar engine and only time I had a over heating problem was when the radiator wasnt working properly,not leaking but blocked ,you can feel them and feel cold/hot spots then you have a blockage ! I owned 273's,303 (yes 56 plymouth had a 303) 318,340,350 Mopar Big Block 57 Plymouth,360,361 big block,383,400,413,426 Wedge, 5 - 426 Hemi cars,440 4bbl non hi perf,440 magnum/Super Commando,TNT hi perf ,440 6bbl ... Not 1 over heated even my built big blocks in hot Nevada weather ! Only 2 that did had bad radiators that were in 22 and a 28 year old 1970 car and a 1966 at the time..

I guess I'm the only one to notice that the side marker light is missing from the quarter panels. Either they are 67 quarters, or it's full of bondo. Looks nice tho.

Dave Stone great eye. The one year only, "fish eyes" front and rear marker lights on the 1968 Mopars are a signature feature.

Maybe he filled in the side marker lights, because the taillights suggest that it's a 68. Kinda disappointing, since the round side marker lights are what finished off the 68s right.

I've never heard a properly oiling 383-400-440 that clattered like that - not even when running Rhodes lifters. (remember those ??)

Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars, trucks and busses including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing petrol stations to only one state operated central gas station per city. From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.

Does this have solid lifters? Sounds like my old slant six. If not, it would run much better if you would adjust them or replace if worn. We had one (not convertible and w/383) in 1972. Was a great car. Rode really smooth. (fun doing burnouts too) Thanks for sharing your car with everyone.
