Beautiful car. I worked in a gas station in high school. One of the guys bought a '68 GTX. It ran 13:55 at Lions Drag Strip.

@1968440GTX STUNNING color combination!! thats exactly how i sported my shit back in the day. meaty blackwall rubber on the magnums and a half inch drop on the front torsion bars for a mild rake. had a b-5 68gtx 4spd trak pak car white stripes no vinyl top blue interior. Bought it from the original owner in 80 with 38,000miles on it. man that car was the prettiest mopar i owned. good reply to the hosier above about the exhaust leak. i couldnt have been so subtle. CHEERS.

My dad said he had a car exactly like this vehicle. A '68 GTX with a 440-four barrel. His was the same color with the same vinyl top, the same side-facing hood scoops, and the same magnum wheels. Too bad his was wrecked in an accident in 1975, otherwise he might have given it to me.

I had one like this but white top and stripes. This thing is nothing but power. No technology like today; just lots of cubic inches, compression, and high octane gasoline. Ran high 13's from the dealer. I've missed it since the day I sold it.

@1968440GTX Wrong on the taillights... the GTX and sport satellite had unique cast aluminum tail lights and panels as opposed to stamped on the Satellite and Road Runner. The Cast aluminum was finished as said below. THat's from a really old guy who's had 5 '68's on the road since 1972.

Beautiful car! Do I hear possible crankshaft bearing knocking noises or is this just a bad audio recording? The last time I heard that noise from a Mopar engine was shortly before i had a hole in my oil pan with the silhouette of a piston/rod assembly and a bent crankshaft....

@1968440GTX No vids right now, still piddling with little things. I have some up to date pics of it on my Facebook @ David Fetty and some of it and a few other GTX's and Mopars I've had on Photobucket at the same name. Now I'm just showing off lol. I do think there's a vid of the Ex taking the '71 GTX down the drag strip. 13 flat thru the mufflers on street tires.
