Love the line at 1:25:05 "All I had to do was replace 90% of the car with new metal and its good to go". I really enjoy your videos and respect the time, effort and detail you put into your projects. You are very talented and have a great personality.

Great job. Looks and sounds awesome. I have a '69 that I've been working on and, like you, before I even got 1/8 of the way through it I found a super straight and almost rust free 1970 Lemans that I jumped on because I've got a spare 455 lying around. Your videos are inspiring and easy to watch. Can't wait until your 69's done. I'll be using the videos to help me through my build. Thanks.

Watched your whole video. Y'all did great work. My late brother had this car new, same set, it was a beast. Yellow with a black vinyl top. I have 66 GTO, coming out of resto this month.all stock 389, 3x2's , 4spd with air. I'm the 2nd owner. Always loved GTO's since I was 16, now 72.

What I love about the Pontiac engines is the built in exhaust extensions on the heads, gives the engine better looking esthetics. That is a true bonafide old school muscle car. Great vid

Good on you for saving this car. This is my favourite American muscle car model, I just love the front of this model and being a two door makes it perfect. You did a great job on a budget like most of us have to do so thanks for sharing your story. I couldn't find one for sale at any time in Australia but I'm happy with my 1974 HQ Holden one tonner that was finished being customised in 2000. My dad owned 2 GTOs. One of them looked EXACTLY like this one. Same colors on the body and everything. He sold it in 2004 for a petty $2,500 to pay property tax on a house we lost a few years later anyway. God I wish I could have one of these cars. I love everything about them.

No big fancy shop with a zillion dollars worth of tools because you let experts do a lot of the real specialty stuff....but everything else you do yourself. Kudos to you for keeping those cars out of the crusher. Hot Tip: Bin the WD40. It is ONLY good for cleaning something. Go with Liquid Wrench stuff. It works, you can get it at Wally World and it's reasonably priced.

Just ran across this great video quite by accident. Damned good accident. I am really impressed with your knowledge and wish you'd been in my neighborhood when I was playing "Gee, I know cars. What's your problem?" I wasn't looking to get involved in other's cars...they just showed up. I could do a decent tuneup although I had problems with points and timing and sometimes, I'd forget a brake shoe on a brake job, but...hey, they were all stoned and were clueless to my mistakes. Well, I was a drummer, not a mechanic, and since everyone who saw me working on my '57 Chev on weekends were stupider than me and that made me an expert, probably because I was always greasy...and that came from just opening the hood. I'd take their money and send them on their way after forgetting to gap the plugs or replace a fan belt with the wrong size or replacing valve cover gaskets and such that were only a week old because I forgot to glue 'em down. Anyway, you have a great show. I really did learn a good deal tonight

Keep whipping ass in that thing , drive it hard and pass it off to ur kid one day. U put so much love in that thing. Now all that said. Man U got some real talent. So I figured The Logical solution would be buying a grenade just to keep handy. I equate it to being married but keeping a bug out bag with half of my money and half of my s*** in it.
