How the hell can someone not like this car??? Im a Ford guy and I would take this car over ANY Mustang of that era. Always felt like Ford was really stingy with their high performance engines in passenger cars compared to other manufacturers like Dodge, Plymouth, and Pontiac. But Ford builds the best trucks BY FAR and it's not even close. Chevy's Vortec EFI setup is total junk and Dodge trucks have transmission problems from the time they are new

Back in 1974. My riding buddy bought a 67 SS 396. The original 396 was swapped out with a 68 Corvette L-88 427 motor along with the M-22 Muncie. The Corvette spun out and married a telephone pole from the doors forward were untouched that's where the motor swap came in. 4 bolts aluminum heads and intake hi flow exhaust maroon on black. pirelli red lines. 60s all around. White SS stripe around the front. The SS hood. Paid. One thousand thirty dollars. And had a fresh Marlboro Maroon paint. Wow what that would be worth today. But who knew Back then what these beautiful muscle cars would bring today. (MIGHT BE OLD BUT GOT TO DRIVE THE BEST AND FASTEST CARS MID 60S TO THE 70 LS-6 CHEVELLE.

Those might actually be “ drag masters “ by a company called international. Yenko used them to save costs and mark up the price. I have a set of them and they’re more rare than torque thrust and actually a great quality set of wheels. They are American built

Love the SS 427 Corvette Baldwin. 67 They all had them cool paint schemes. Plus how they used the L-88 ZL-1 hood and the 67 427 stinger Corvette scoop . And the side pipes.

Nice car. Lots of imperfections that make it a good restoration. Can't imagine not driving a restoration, but would only drive an original low miles car around the block. A restoration can always be restored again, but I guess this one was a show car that got the owner some trophies and bragging rights. Thanks MCofW, I learned a lot from this video. First I heard of the 427 short block and the door tag. Since the factory did many of the modifications, were these cars NHRA legal in the stock classes?

Around the block, why bother. Its just a car. Insure and enjoy Unless one drives long enough to get the oil hot burn off any condensation get the gear oil up to temp its better not to start it at all.

I have the title , vin-tag, subframes from a 1969 Baldwin Motion Camaro that was wrecked beyond repair I bought in 1986. It had no interior, motor, transmission so I sent the body to a junkyard but kept the important stuff.

"ANYONE" who doesn't like A "Y-E-N-K-O" or an aluminum 427 "ZL-1" or a COPO CAMARO. Doesn't understand what a "true" muscle car is. I personally Love a FORD. But if it's "BAD" I don't care what brand it is I Love it. My dream cars R '70 340 SIX PAK Challenger/AAR 'CUDA. A lot people have never even heard of Studebaker "AVANTI". One of the fastest cars U could buy off the showroom floor. Top speed over 150 mph. If the sky is Blue U can't change the color. "Enjoy what U C!" Don't exclude AMC muscle either. Look at the Javelin with the 343. 340 Dodge Demon. 340 Duster. I could sit here tapping on this phone until it blows up naming different muscle cars. I don't discriminate "PARTICIPATE" I LIKE 'EM ALL. Hands down.

So basically Yanko took over copo. I find it very interesting that all they did was take a base mod car and put a truck engine in it and called it a super car. Nothing special other than you paid for the name back in the day.

An L72 427 definitely isnt just a "truck motor". It's got over 11:1 compression, Solid lifters, and probably 450-460 horses in factory tune. Maybe more.

I am a collector and what he means is in 1968 there are intricate details that a 1967 Yenko or 69 did not have. Those intricate details distinguish the 68 and make it more collectible and we like those details.LOL he's not just drooling over a bag of door tags from 68.
