Like the colour test card & the Big Match is only in bw! of course we all bar a few had bw tellys & done us fine, didn't get my colour tv until 1984. In the 60s & 70s they were expensive, in 1966 they set you back £300 (£5600 today equiv.) & 1972 £225 (£3200), colour TV or brand new car, you choose!

What's noticeable about these matches is the number if YOUNG ENGLISH players getting theur chance at first team football. Really good players too. This is much better than the tripe the Premier League offer up. Especially as the firiegn invasion was supposed to be limited and designed to improve ENGLISH players. Its competely failed on every front imaginable.

Doesn't matter does it, Big Match was always 60 mins, with the rest turn volume off & stare at blank screen, feel sleepy annnnnd relax..
