Kudos on the hood treatment. Brilliant idea to graft the 70 Super Bee sport hood bubble onto it. Like the man said, it looks like it was born with it. 69 hoods are normally kinda plain, but the S/B hood bubble really fits this app well. From the front seat the hood bulge reminds me of the view from a 70 Cuda w/ shaker hood. Same shape bulge.

I bought my 69 Dart Western Sport Special in 79 from a guy in the neighborhood. He wanted 650 and it had 63k original miles with a bad vynil top and a 383 gts nose on it painted to match. I thought it really was a 383 car as I liked Mopars but really didn't know anything about how to tell a big block or small block or what kind of running gear it had or what it should have. It was a factory 318 car with a 71/4 and 904 but it had glass packs and drove like new and seemed to have more power than the typical 318 cars I'd been in. I ended up paying 550 for it because it blew the water pump on my test drive 😂. The only original parts left now is the engine and suspension and brakes. I upgraded to better parts as I learned all about my car and what parts were stronger and would fit over time. It now has a 742 case 83/4 with 3.23 power lock, 727 transmission, early 340 manifolds, Thermo Quad 9800 carb and performer intake, front and rear factory sway bars. It came with 340 torsion bars and leaf springs, fast ratio 16 to 1 manual steering box with 4 turns lock to lock. It never drove like any other A body I've ever driven since and I also put poly bushings in and rebuilt the front suspension. The upgrades have just made a good starting point even better. Every time I upgraded something I had to relearn how to drive the car and it always tried to kill me if I got stupid. 😎 I also had a real 70 Duster 340 for years I almost never drove because it needed work and had a huge lumpy cam in it from the guy I bought it from. It sounded wicked but only had 7 pounds of vacuum at idle and 3.23 gears, bad combo. I got my license in the Dart and a buddy owns the Duster now. I think I've had about 30 cars now, mostly Mopars. I think I'd like to drop a 5.7 hemi in the Dart someday... 🤔

The ‘69 is least favourite of all the cudas due to the hood and centre hump. This hood takes care of that, nice.
