Dude, I literally have the same exact situation as you do. I'm putting an LS gen IV 5.3 in a 1969 Camaro, I have a basement shop full of old motorcycles I'm restoring, (all mine, no customers) and all I do is work on stuff. I'm going to wait until you finish that Camaro before I do mine JIC. Your channel is awesome, Thanks!

I think your supposed to shim your throw out bearing not your pressure plate and clutch plate! If Im wrong let me know! Thanks for the info..

Shims are not required for a twin disc

AvE has a video using bread to get bearings out using hydraulic pressure. But in that case, the bearing was up against the case of the electric motor he was working on. Looking forward to seeing more 'will it run' videos!

Putting in a used manual transmission, I wondered what you could do to check its condition while it is still out of the car. Would you have checked and potentially changed the input shaft bearing, for example ? Im not at all familiar with the LS engine and associated boxes, I should say.

No, it looked good and definitely wasn’t original so I decided to roll the dice and keep it.

What oil pan did you go with? Seen you went from front sump to rear.

Holley f-body swap pan. 302-3 is the part number. I went with that one because it has drains for my future turbo setup. Fits perfect.
