Stunningly beautiful, love the color and the cragar wheels are gorgeous.

Those SS Cragar mags were THE PRETTIEST mag wheel n that era. When i see the expensive ugly mag wheels of today on cars, I just SMH and think these whippersnappers don't know what pretty wheels r, especially the dopeheads riding around on 20" tires with effectively no sidewall (I bet they ride like a buckboard wagon).

That engine is just waiting for the pedal to be pushed down and unlock the full beauty of that engine and gearbox. This is a beautiful car, and look at the simplicity of that engine and the amount of room to work on it. We had a few of those 440 equipped cars back in the mid 70s on to the mid 80s. Lots of power and smoothness made for great cruising down the road.

Big block engine in a light weight car equals speed and has been used for decades. I had a 69 Dart Swinger with a 340 that had more traction and torque than what my competitors thought. It just lacked horsepower so the big block cars would pass me by before the finish line….if they could get there quick enough.
@easygoing247911 ай бұрын
That car (and restoration thereof) is beautiful. The flawless paint looks to have a small amount of orange peel which _really_ gives it a true factory look. Accurate details abound; I would be so proud to have that car rumbling in my driveway. But I don't have that car - and I don't have a driveway!

I am bringing one back from the grave as well. 69 fast back stroked 440 6 speed and Dana 60 CUDA. All black with red guts stinger 6 BBL hood with a red CUDA strip down it's sides. Save them all! Someone else can ride in a battery back at double or more the price. Almost owned a R.R. myself but i was a (real) hillbilly and knew nothing. My (still) friend wanted 500.00 bucks for a black 69 metal flake 383 auto with a line lock in stink bug mode and he told me all i had to do now was pay the tax's. I told him he can pay his tax's if he wants? now he did not want to sell it to me. Told him to keep it! I was an idiot. Young , Dumb and full of c.m Is what i was in 74. About a year later and discovering how the rest of my world works and found a 1967 yellow and black Z28 disguised as a RS/SS with a blown motor for 200.00 ,then found a 396 4 speed from a T-boned steak red Vette for 500.00 and stuck it in the 67 and drove it for years. Sold it to get married. Miss the days when even the special stuff was kind of common.

Had a 1968 Dodge Dart, it was a 318. No drag car performance with the 318 engine, but it could burn tires and make a lot of smoke, top speed i dont know, i drove it past 120mph on public road, handling was good compared to my friends Mustang fastback, he didnt have the nerves to take it past 100mph. Used my dart as my daily driver, even in the winther and lots of snow. Live in the northern part of Norway, just 1 hour drive frome the North Cape. Wasnt great on snow, but it did ok when you learn to be easy on the trottle and trust the torque will get you moving on low rpm. A snowplower hit it when parked, and that was the end of my 68dart. Payd 18k norwegian krone for the car in 95, today you have to pay from 200k to above 300k norwegian krone for a good old dart.

Nice car. I was looking for cragar wheels for my '73 Swinger, but can't find them anywhere. The oddball 4 inch bolt pattern makes them rare, as far as I can tell. Do you have any suggestions about where to find them? Or were yours already on the car when you got it.
@kimmorrison9169 Жыл бұрын
If that is a real factory 440 Dart ( not a clone) you’ve got a valuable car there in beautiful shape. Dodge did not make many of these little nose heavy beasts in ‘69. The Six Pack Super Bees/ Roadrunners were the big news later in ‘69. The 340 Dart Swingers were cheap speed at the time.
