Thanks so much for taking the time to post this. I was thinking of doing the same thing and hoped there would be something here on it so I wouldn't have to pay someone to go through all that.

Thanks. I need to tackle my 68 RoadRunner cluster.I recall that the headlight and dimmer need to come out to get the switch panel out.

Billccm John I didnt need to take the headlight and dimmer switch out to remove the black switch tray. Just needed to take the power off it. I left all the switches in the tray for the removal

You should have repainted those gauge needles a nice orange/red paint, its cheap and easy. When re-assembling electrical, I always use conductive grease, gives a good positive connection,

cmscms123456 They just wanted to much money to paint the dials so I just declined. Many of my dash lights dont work. I have not had the time to troubleshoot it. I did the rear leaf springs last week and this week its the vinyl roof. Thanks for watching.

Remove dash Pad FIRST by 8 speed nuts Behind the padding. 7/16" deep socket by FEEL. Everything else is easy.

Dont paint gas or Ammeter needles with Model paint! As I did. It will make em HEAVY and act lazy. Use an Orange Highlighter marker. Drop steering column about 1/2 also
