Nice way to go,, agreed on the old vs new parts. My dash wiring is forcing this decision, just finished the bulkhead connector, so you already know.....

Yes... that is original "NO SALE GREEN" paint. It's much prettier when hidden.

Did you do anything to the light ,washer ,wiper switches to make them look new ? Thanks

Sorry - just saw this - The switches were pretty good originals and only needed some cleanup with extra fine steel wool - thanks for watching!

How do you feel with the digital tick tock tach versus the original? Very very nice 👌.

Mixed - I liked the old setup because I am a dinosaur. I think the engineers did a good job balancing art and function with this dash. In the end, if I could trust the old stuff I would've kept it. With old NOS stuff that is useable becoming increasingly rare/pricey (and it is still questionable on accuracy), I felt that it was time for a change. The new one is different and uses a digital clock. Meh. I liked the round one but whatever - A more obvious tach was probably needed anyway - and I programmed my big red parking brake light on the dash as a shift light - so I am good with it. I think the Dakota Digital setup is a quality piece that was well engineered and looks great. I love it and will likely keep it .... but .... I think Dakota Digital is missing an opportunity to satisfy the purists out there by making Ford, GM, and Mopar EXACT copies of their original instruments. I am sure there are copyright and profit sharing issues with this option that I am not considering.... but I am the customer and do not see that side of their business - only an opportunity to sell more product.... Thanks for watching our stuff! See you in October!

@@ccathey3934 If you liked the old setup, maybe consider the RTX series? I wouldn't want to lose that tic-toc-tac either, and the RTX has one!

@@pdiz I am happy with this one and would not pay to replace it - but if i were doing this again I would buy the RTX

You did more talking than showing the actual installation. I am in the process of installation ...i.e., the wiring.

Could Have spent less time on the old - everybody knows what they look like and more time on the bike, which he didn’t show at all with a new dash the front is irrelevant. It’s what does the gauges look like from the backside kind of a waste of time watching this.
