I miss Mercury. Owned a Comet and many Grand Marquis until they stopped making them. Best cars I have ever owned. Low maintenance and very reliable. Not to mention extremely comfortable. Now we are stuck with mundane tech laden crossovers.

I had a 1978 Mercury Cougar with a 351 Cleveland and it was a great car. When I was a kid, my dad had a 1968 cougar with a 289 engine and it was great car too.

My dad had one, not the X100 429 version. Regular one 390 2bbl. Green outside, black vinyl bench seat interior. Used it for prom, broke a motor mount.

Marauder - it was on a Ford wheelbase of 121" instead of 124" Merc wheelbase.
