You are welcome! I've been really happy with my setup. I'm running HookerLTs to their X-pipe, to the Pypes system. Your car would probably sound great with that setup as well!

Those Power steering set ups ALWAYS leak. The pump is the easy part. I'll be watching to see how things go!

Good to know they do. Probably not as much as mine does! (I hope) There are so many connections down there i am not surprised.

glad to see the mustang back on the channel and looking fordware to the coilover video. What is holding the gauges in your center console? is that a shelby console top or something custom where the ashtray was?
@SmackeysGarage10 ай бұрын
This is what is holding the gauges in the center cluster. Very simple piece that replaces the ash tray as you pointed out. www.npdlink.com/product/gauge-pod-console/100420/202782 I'm excited to be doing more work to this car this winter. I have a lot of projects I need to do, including some that aren't listed. I want to make it into a more reliable and comfortable driver for myself. I think almost every other week will be focused on this car.

Hey man, great videos - I enjoy them, as I have the same model car here in New Zealand. With regard to your steering and front coil over kit, I highly recommend the RRS coil over front suspension (I have the phase 3 kit with 330mm disc brakes) and the rack and pinion steering kit. It has transformed my car massively. They're very easy to install and combined with the disc brakes, the improvement is substantial.
@SmackeysGarage10 ай бұрын
Thanks and very cool to hear! I’ll have to check out the coil over kit from RRS. I haven’t heard of them but will definitely check it out! Your car sounds like it’d be fun to drive with coilovers and the big discs. What are you running in the rear for suspension?
@ricksplinter729110 ай бұрын
My car is a 390 69 Mach 1 too, and with the adjustable ride height capability, you can get the ride height where you want it. Check them out, as with the big block spring kit, they're really good.

Mines 4 sp manual as well. Unsure of the diff ratio. I've got uprated springs, sway bar and KYB Gas Adjust shocks. I'll be looking to upgrade to QA1 adjustable shocks in the future. As we don't get the temp extremes tou have to deal with, I'm running a Quikfuel, 750 man secondaries with elec choke, Edlebrock Performer intake, MSD Pro Billet dist, Digital 6AL and MSD 8.5mm Leads. My engine has been well sorted, and produces @ 460hp and 430 ftlbs A fun car to drive

Looking forward to your winter projects. Just found your channel. I bought a 67 coupe (289) two years ago. It's mostly original. Needs tlc. I'm new to hobby. Already bought tons of parts. I'm in northern Ohio so winters are no stranger to me also.
@SmackeysGarage10 ай бұрын
Very cool! Thanks for stopping in and leaving a comment. These classic Mustangs are fun to build, drive, and show. That's great you have a 67 coupe that's mostly original and needs TLC. Those are some of the funnest cars to build when they don't need too much structural work. Hopefully you don't have too much rust on your car because of the location. It's hard to find clean ones!

@@SmackeysGarage Car was built in the San Jose plant and sold in Phoenix. According to VIN history, it was out west most of it's life. Car is very solid. I did my homework before buying a classic. Happy Holidays

I have a 69 hardroof. I "bit the bullet" for the same exhaust tip$!!! Also very interested in your full/honest review of the fuel injection. I had Mitchell in Shrewsbury do my ring and pinion, and also my driveshaft for tkx transmission install. I am very satisfied with their work and quality.
@SmackeysGarage9 ай бұрын
Nice! Good choice on the exhaust tips! They look really clean. It'll be interesting to get them to fit up to the car and try to get them in the right position in all directions. I'll check out the Shrewsbury place. Looked them up quickly online and looked pretty legit with great reviews. Thanks!

If you go to my main channel page, then click on the channel description to expand it. It's under the channel name and subscriber count. There will be a channel details and then a location you click to unhide the email. Its set up this way I believe so people don't scrape emails off the comments.
