1969 Sea Nymph and 1969 Johnson 20hp 1 year later

I have a 1978 Johnson 9.9 that had been sitting for about five years because I didn’t know how to work on it. After watching your videos it is running like a top. I can start it by spinning the flywheel with my hand. I would just like to say thank you and keep doing what you’re doing.

I purchased a 1967 Johnson 20 last fall for $120 that had not been run in over 10 years. Clean on the inside and just needed a little of everything. Thank you for the videos. I have learned so much. I had it running in a barrel last weekend and I think I have a great runner. I worked on the trailer next replacing the axle after watching you do axle and bearings I was confident and able to work through all the issues. Keep up the good work young man. Thank you!

Great job Michael, one person committed on putting engine up for 3 years , if So Fogg out engine good with high oil fuel mixture, and run it completely out fuel, put oil fuel stabilizers in carb or marvel mystery oil in carb So next time you want start it up clean plugs off dipping in gas air blow them off reinstall them for the start up. Yes it will run blue till it burns back to normal operation.

Researching outboards after years of Mercruiser. Really digging set up on these vintage Evinrude and Johnson. ESPECIALLY the split gearbox. If I never see a carrier puller again, it will be too soon.

Really appreciate your channel. My dad gifted me an old jon boat and then I took a 1970 Johnson 25 in as a trade for a paintball gun. Between watching you and a few other you tubers (@THISOLDOUTBOARD1, @kodibassInsideoutboards) I've slowly gotten the needed parts and done the work. This past week the engine came to life for the first time in about 10 years. It still needs a bit of work and tuning but I am stoked and excited to get it on the water this summer.

i bought a 12ft aluminim row boat with a 7 horse eska and trolling motor to start with eska was seized never got to it cuz a 45 lb trolling motor did ust fine on ponds and small lakes.

Hey Mike....great video ....that 69 sounds sweet. I have a 70 Johnson that i ran for the last time in 1987. Over the winter i rebuilt the carb, new fuel lines, will be testing it soon.....Question, do you think it would be a good idea to put a fuel filter right after the gas tank?? Michael keep it up brother. I heard if you use muffs if you have too much water pressure you can damage your impeller as it is designed to pull water Btw I got an 1973 25hp evinrude that I'll be working on so I will have questions about it Chris from OHIO

may need to file the points to get your spark back and maybe clean the carb if you didn't run it dry when you put it away. I always run my two strokes dry when loading on the trailer.

A BOAT is to be on the water NOT in the water. Dry boats simply last longer.
