In this episode I give the 51 year old SeaNymp some fresh wood and a big ole storage hole up front. Finally a place to put my goodies so they are not under foot while boating. This is more of a how I did it verses how to do it video for sure. Enjoy.

It sure is nice to see a vintage boat and motor out on the water. Thank you for showing people how they can get out on the water without having to buy a new boat. Hopefully it will inspire some people to get out on the water.

Like that hatch detail. I’ve cut and wrapped those, but that looks good and saved time. Do that if I ever build another. Nice job.

Another excellent video. I’m interested in the next one with the camera mount since I’ve been thinking about the same for my boat. Thanks and keep up the great work and ideas.

Great video! I am doing a similar thing to a 1974 1448 semi v. One helpful hint for you is to move a passenger seat to the middle seat for proper weight displacment. They will appreciate it as well riding in a seat forward facing and your boat should not "plow" anymore. I would upgrade to an 18 to 25 hp 2 stroke too. Please keep on with the content and enjoy!

Hey, really enjoy your videos. I’d watched so may videos on building floors. I like your idea for the front. Like so many other videos never see how one frames under the plywood with small pieces of wood so to make compartments. Thanks again and keep those videos coming. Bryan Eastern Canada.

One tip: Don't "throw your fishing rod in the water"... Just throw out your lure, but make sure it's tied to your fishing line first... LOL

Nice fit! You may want to have, in the storage area, where items lie on the hull, some perf-rubber floor mat or thick plastic grating to keep the equip above the pooled rain water about the floor gussets.

you should have taken out the middle bench added a subfloor to the third bench ran some more of those aluminum support so that you could've replace the bench foam with some R 5 pink foam also you should've added some conduit pipe so if you wanted to add some more wiring. it would be easier also if you take out the middle seat and you could get some angle aluminum to run the deck further back and add some more storage hope that makes sense.

You could shorten the legs of your tripod for your camera and make a bracket for it and it will be out of your way plus you can still get the results from before.

How much extra weight did you add? How about rod holders for trolling and storage?
@Michaelsbackyardmarina
@Michaelsbackyardmarina 3 жыл бұрын
I would estimate about 125Lbs including the battery and anchor and gear. Don't need rod holders on this boat for trolling. This boat is primarily for testing the outboards I repair.

Going to have to put your 25 hp on the back to handle the additional boat weight plus your additional weight. Of course you could get down to your fighting weight, (180#) and stick with the smaller motor. But we both know that ain’t going to happen, better idea might be to start looking for a 35hp, problem is a new supply of smaller pants and wild shirts might force you into bankruptcy.
