Oh my goodness!! woohooo a course from Brownstein! Can't wait. I want to become an NP. Iodine has been my most impactful nutrient I have ever taken.

Great info, once you get past the movie sales pitch and sweet cupcakes intro to the meat of the iodine talk. The intro might discourage some away who really need to hear this talk.

WHAT ABOUT NASCENT IODINE LIKE DETOXADINE? There should be big difference in recommended dosing since this is more bioavailable to the body. 25mg of that stuff would put most people on the moon.

Interesting connection with ATP… I’ve never heard that before. If you have chronic fatigue syndrome and take iodine, I wonder if that could result in a unusual reaction like the autonomously functioning nodule? I reacted within a month of supplementing - hot swollen thyroid.

I have negative side effects to iodine, not sure if I should continue 🤔

*UPDATE* The negative affects have faded, now very minor skin issues. Seems to be more beneficial at this stage.

Hi! I started to take 2 drops of 5 % Lugols every morning and evening and my thyroid antibodies (TPO) went up from 76 to almost 500! Didn't change anything else so I know it's bcs of the iodine. I now only take a drop here and there bcs I'm scared to worsen my situation bcs I feel so bad. I do still think that iodine is EXTREMELY important and I have not eaten iodized salt more than occasionally for DECADES. So I'm sure that I need more iodine but what the heck should I do when my antibodies went up like that? Help!😅🪷

Hi Cammie, I totally understand concern. I think the key is to monitor closely and see if they go down overtime. I can replace bromine and fluoride in the body and there may be some detox that has to happen before you get to a steady state. I would not proceed without medical supervision, but as long as your thyroid is stable, the antibodies may go up and down as you are detoxifying or treating infection or other toxic triggers

@@JillCarnahanMD OK, thanks! Do you think it would be good to go up to 4 drops a day again then? I've heard him say that there need to be a certain dose otherwise it doesn't really help...I'm on one drop a day at the moment.

@@cammieklund I would start slowly and work up

Add tsp redmond pure salt to your water each day and see if that resolves issue
