A special car is an understatement, looks like grandpa did a little "tuning" on the street back in the day, I would leave the extra hood pins on it for that reason, that is the history of the car, I hope Pete can enjoy it as much as the family has. The way that car ran after a long storage is a testament to Nick and his previous work on it.

Perfect advice on the paint, Nick. That car is very special simply because it is a survivor basically as at came new. You can never ‘unrepaint’ a car. Beautiful car and a touching story. I hope you help keep it as a survivor in the same family for another generation.

A very touching story and a beautiful car .Our Deepest Sympathy to his Family and Friends....One of the 1st time I can remember seeing a Cuda with the tac on the hood ,reminds me of my 1970 GTO . Just a beautiful time piece with a original in the Family History.....

My first car was a 72 Cuda 340 that i got in 1982 when i was 17 . After my uncle passed away at 44 my grandfather sold the car for 13k back in 2001.

Thats a touching story with a great background with sentimental value. Thats great to see a beautiful original E body still with the original family. One of the many reasons im a mopar guy is that 340 is special being stronger and having the option to drill for 4 bolt main and pushrod relocated so you have room to port the intake runner all from the factory.

The paint looks good enough where the only thing I'd consider at most is touch ups, mostly to protect any exposed metal. That's it. Edit: So I noticed that yellow staining on the tach glass. I wonder if hydrogen peroxide and UV lighting could even be used to remove it.
