My dad was torn inbetween choosing a 71 Challenger R/T 340 and a Cuda 340, back in the day. My mother liked the Challenger a bit more because it was a bit bigger. My dad liked the Cuda 340 4 speed he test drove better than the Challenger. The Cuda was at the dealership with the E6015s, disc brakes, fast ratio manual steering, rally wheels, AM/FM, and factory a/c, Sure Grip rear end, among other options. The Challenger he looked at was loaded up with vinyl roof, center console, p/s, pdb, rear chrome exhaust tips, F70 14s on magnum 500s and more. It was over $400.00 than the Cuda which also was painted In violet, which the dealer took off the charge for. He liked the Challenger's features but since $ was tight, he bought that Cuda. The Dodge dealer also refused to take his 64 Plymouth Sport Fury 383 4 speed as a trade in, whereas the Plymouth dealer did. Sealed the deal.

@@danhood1443 I'm kinda a Chevy guy, but I love Mopar too. IMO the Challenger/'Cuda were the nicest looking cars of the day - and still look good today which you can't say for a lot of the cars back then. I also think the 1970 Chevelle SS was a gorgeous car as was the '70 AMX.

Sadly , very few would be persuaded to buy based on this commercial. Regardless, these cars with an original 426 Hemi , routinely cross the auction block in and around the Million dollar range. Imagine, buying one brand new, tuck it away in safe , dry storage and collecting 1.25 million for your investment, 50+ years later. 2 of them would turn $10,000 into 2.5 million. Pretty good investment i would think.

This is too painful to watch. In 1986 a guy offered to buy my car at a price that I thought was way, way more than the car would ever be worth. So the next day the guy shows up with his truck and car hauler, we made the deal and that's the last I ever saw of my 100% original 70' Challenger R/T 440 magnum. Now I often think back to that day, the day I screwed myself hard, hard with no lube.

This is a dealer information presentation. The idea here is to provide the dealer with information. The information is supposed to help the dealer sell the automobile. The automobile the dealer will be selling is the Dodge Challenger automobile. The more Dodge Challenger automobiles the dealer sells the more money he and the motor company will make. If he doesn’t sell the Dodge Challenger automobile he will be chewed out in the back room and possibly fired. His family will not be able to eat and pay the light bill.
