I always wanted a mustang fastback since I was a kid (my dream car). I'm from Ireland and these are so rare here. I've got my own project car ( an old bmw) . People like you give us all the confidence and knowledge to get it done 😊

Thank you! I really appreciate the kind words! And I love Ireland btw. I have quite a bit of Irish in my blood! I was just in Dublin a year ago, what an absolutely beautiful country that I would love to live in. And you never know, you may come across your dream Mustang over there someday and have a chance to own it. I hope someday you do!

Great project. I've done a couple of conversions. Lots of work, but Fastbacks are way cooler than coupes

A lot of work ahead of you for sure. I would weld in some diagonal bracing as well, think of how a truss is made....

Good luck with your project!! As far as using the "Lisky" drawings for a datum line, be careful. I am working on a 65 Coupe and the Lisky drawing has several errors and/or inconsistencies . Thanks, I will definitely check it out! I did verify that these specs are correct for 1970, but I did hear that for 65-68 the Lisky specs are off.

I think my biggest problem with doing the conversion is the interior parts that are required after the conversion and how hard they are to find. 🙄
