Bro, I just fell in love with your channel We had one of these back in the 90s when I went to a trade school. It was a single axle day cab with a six cylinder Detroit 671 238 hp.

Absolutely awesome. Water truck would be a good final use or at least a museum piece.

It's not terrible

A reflection of the era in which it was designed, a time when trucks were quite spartan. The switch and circuit breaker panel looks exactly like what one would have found in a military aircraft of the 1940's or 50's.

That switch and circuit breaker panel is the cats pajamas. Very aircraft like.

First time I ever pulled a set of joints was with one of these old square Fords. Rookie days, nearly 60 years ago. Got to the receivers' and had to ask another driver how to break up a set of doubles as it was already in train when the dispatcher told me to "Jump in that rig there and head for Reading". They called it "on the job training". Got 'er done!! I was all of 22 years old. Those were the good old days!

The old school way of training. Sink or swim.

Love useful trucks like this and hate pickup trucks today.

All the newer trucks and semis just don't have the same soul that the older stuff does.

Still hanging with you my friend. Already left a comment as "full auto" (below). Wouldn't be a 318 Detroit if it wasn't swimming in oil!!

O-H-I-O Porter greetings 🇺🇸 It sure has been some time since I’ve seen one of these old Fords. The inside setup is rather different than what I remember as well. I wonder if they changed some of the console pieces to suit their needs. It sure looks like it’s in pretty good shape for its age! Does it have the aluminum can or metal. Should be a good truck for ya. Did you get it? That tanker should be fun to use as well. And I noticed dual stacks! WOW! Gonna watch it again to verify that one. But what a cool truck! Enjoy the ride my friend! Yep, dual stacks! Love it! 🥰😎✌️
@jaminstewart2444Ай бұрын
Somebody spent some money on it. Engine was definitely in good shape. The dual stacks and stainless mufflers couldn't have been cheap. Really just needs tires and fix some air leaks.

@jaminstewart2444Ай бұрын
I like watching chips to see the cars and trucks. I'm pretty sure every episode has a Ford c series cabover in it.

Its uglier than homemade sin. I would bid on it in a second. Engine sounds smooth.
