Body design is like an oversized Cougar.. (of course there are numerous differences) and those 428 & 429 CJ engines were so underrated most people didn’t have a clue . Beautiful Mercury ! 👍🏼

That's a special GEM right there and they don't have cool names anymore like back in the muscle car era Jay. CYCLONE SPOILER............... yeah ! The dash emblem missing would have displayed the word SPOILER. There's 1 NOS on ebay - just one.

That’s crazy that so few came with houndstooth! My 69 Camaro came with black houndstooth and it’s timeless! Ford’s pattern looks awesome too.

Wow, I want it, wouldn't change a thing. Much better looking than the same year Torino. Not a fan of yellow cars but this is an exception, it really looks good. It's been many years since I've seen a Cyclone Spoiler, perhaps the rarest of all muscle cars?

This 70/71 Montego / Cyclone body was preferred by NASCAR drivers. 10 71' Montegos participated in the second race at Talledega in 72" and one of them won the race. There was a rare front spoiler I saw on one of these at my trade school. which was shaped like the front bumper if you turned it upside down. Very cool, and very rare, better looking than the spoiler you see on this car..

That is a beautiful car with really nice body lines from the front qtrs to the rear, but I gotta say I think the front end is most unattractive muscle car from that era. If they had designed the front end similar to the rear it would be so much more attractive, IMHO. Awesome motor and interior also

$81,998 ? When I was in high school a guy had one of these In competition orange , they’re bad assed . They weren’t available with air conditioning and were rated at 375 hp not 370 . The missing badge on the dash by the glove box , says SPOILER in brushed metal .

There is a blue survivor Cyclone Spoiler in Abilene, Texas right now. Someone stole the back rims off of it (??).. Its at a body shop that's going out of business. Owner is liquidating everything.

My 455 70 buick Lesabre was just 10 hp under than this 429 and torque in mine 470 . Tire shredder for sure .
